Tras varias generaciones dedicadas a la agricultura y el sector olivarero, la familia Velasco Gil fundó en 2009 una almazara en Dílar, un pueblo granadino de Sierra Nevada.
We want the world to know the benefits of EVVOs produced in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park in Granada. This time we have travelled to Pesaro (Italy) to take part in the famous L’Orciolo d’Oro the prestigious international competition.
The results couldn’t be more encouraging as two of our EVOOs have received a special mention. This is quite significant for our family project and we hope it bodes a bright future for 2016. The refine Italian palates have warmed up to our oils in an otherwise fiercely competitive environment.
Quaryat Picual has come 3rd in the medium fruitiness category. It is our most conferred EVOO to date -and our most Andalusian in style and substance. Complex, intensely fruity and aromatic yet accentually herbal, our single variety Picual is a balanced and elegant proposal.
Quaryat Blend has achieved another distinction in the same category. Our Blend is a harmonious coupage full of green fruity notes, a signature EVOO which is -just like our brand- fresh and young.
